YAJUN was founded by Yajun Melody Lin after she had graduated from Parsons the New School, which is based in New York City. The concept behind the brand is just like the definition of the designer’s Chinese name “YA JUN“. “YA“ means elegant, refined, feminine and “Jun“ means gentleman; the more masculine side of the brand. This brand’s goal is to break all the boundaries and expectation in garment construction. There are too many tradition and limits in fashion that can be changed, especially since Melody is a fan of surrealism art, she likes to play with the audience’s vision.
