Bobbie Specker is a contemporary ceramicist living Portland, Oregon USA. Her work is both sculptural and functional. Mostly self-taught, she is a hand-builder using a slab technique to construct her pieces. With a background in apparel design, she creates original patterns that are then cut out of clay slabs. Each clay cutout is individually hand formed and then combined with others to create the finished piece.
