Dimissianos & Miller

Andreas Dimissianos, Hector’s father, began to make shoes at the age of ten. He established his workshop in the Old Town of Corfu in 1948. The Dimissianos were originally known as the specialists of the legendary “Tsarouhia”, traditional Greek shoes that go back to Byzantine times and are nowadays worn by the Greek Presidential Guard: beautifully elaborate, handcrafted from red and black leather with a pointy nose covered by a large woollen pompon. Coming from a fine arts and photography background, Andreas and Frideriki readily embraced the idea to continue the family tradition of craftsmanship.

Under Andreas and Frideriki Dimissianos’ guidance, Andreas and Karolina Miller gained their apprenticeship in the workshop. Soon after, they began to experiment with leather and design in a free way. The very first Dimissianos & Miller collection appeared in several exclusive stores across Europe in Spring and Summer 2012.
