The Eva Masaki BQE frame is both feminine and boyish, with a modern box shape softened with a gentle curve. Designed to fit a wide range of face shapes, the BQE is modestly oversized, flat across the bridge and lower frame, and designed with a subdued cat eye. Inspired by the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, the way it loops and patterns through the boroughs of New York, coasting flat along the river to Manhattan. A frame with a unique energy and understated strength. Handmade in Northern Italy from cellulose acetate by Mazzucchelli and designed with Zeiss lenses. 100% UV protection.
Color options shown pictured top to bottom:
Sepia; translucent sand frame with soft brown lens
Valley; dusty blue frame with ombre grey to orange lens
Lake; translucent blue frame with smoky grey lens
Frames are paired with a special leather case made with Japanese designer Miki Nagamine of RAKU, who makes leather shoes out of her shop in San Cristóbal, Mexico. The case is inspired by the moccasin shoe traditional to indigenous cultures in North and Central America, and is cut from vegetable tanned Horween Essex leather. Like Miki’s shoes, the case is designed to “become part of the wearer’s comfortable life and bring a little bit of joy.” Buttery soft structure. Handmade in Mexico.
